Greg Shupe has been performing around the US, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain and the Caribbean since his college days in Minnesota and West Virginia. Accompanying himself on guitar (and occasionally mandolin or concertina) he has played at festivals, clubs, colleges, coffeehouses, benefits, and rallies. Thousands of people have heard him share his eclectic repertoire of folk, blues, country, gospel, bluegrass, traditional, swing, political, and humorous songs from around the country and the world. He also writes and performs his own songs, several of which are featured on his first CD - Midnight Train.
Currently serving as the Music Director for the Unity Spiritual Center of Coastal Delaware, he embraces the whole Positive Music movement which, according to David Roth's definition, strives to inspire, transform, empower, unite, enlighten, heal and celebrate the human spirit and its many forms of spirituality. He always includes some Posi Music songs, including some originals, in his shows.
Greg usually performs as a solo or as a duet with longtime accompanist, Duane Geruschat, on bass, saxophone, and vocals. He also occasionally performs with his band, Men With Issues, which includes Dennis Diamond on mandolin, guitar, dobro and more, Zachary Diamond on mandolin and fiddle, and Duane Geruschat on bass. Dennis and Zach are featured on both of Greg's CDs.
